Receipts

From source to moment to receipt.

A clear path through the record, with context at every step.

Find the moment.

Enter a topic, phrase, or speaker. Results come from indexed passages; an empty search does not mean a statement was never made.

Read the surrounding context.

Open a result and read before and after the passage. Check who is speaking and which people are only being discussed.

Select a contiguous interval using source-supported boundaries. Playback and your selection are separate controls.

Connect two statements.

Choose Compare this passage on a source result, then select another passage. The comparison tray keeps both selections together while you inspect their context.

Give the Receipt a title and explain how the statements relate. Include any new evidence or different circumstances that explain a change. Recording dates establish statement order only when the record supports it; otherwise the comparison keeps that uncertainty visible.

Create the receipt.

A receipt retains the source, attribution, exact time, copy type, and evidence versions. Choose a format that fits the complete record at a readable size.

Verbatim transcript and reviewed transcript correction preserve the selected wording. Paraphrases and AI summaries are labeled separately and do not use quotation marks.

Keep the return path.

A public link can be opened by anyone who receives it. Feed submission is a separate review step. Private workspace content does not become public simply because a passage is selected.

If a receipt is corrected, return to its current page before sharing. Removed or restricted receipts do not offer an active card.

A shared comparison opens to the complete Receipt, with separate links to each source passage. Copy with sources includes those context links in the accompanying text. Downloaded images carry a written return URL; the image itself does not contain clickable source buttons.
